Install and Configure Opportunity Clone with Products, Quote Clone and Quote Clone with Line Items
Installation Steps
Before installation, please make sure that the quote feature of Salesforce is enabled in your organisation.
For enabling the quote feature:
1. Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of your screen to enter setup.
2. Search ‘quotes’ in the quick search box and select quotes.
3. Click Enable Quotes and then click save to enable the qutes feature.
Remember you can always ask us to get on a call to set your app in Sandbox and Production.

Installing “Opportunity Clone with Products, Quote Clone and Quote Clone with Line Items” is easy – just click Get It Now from the AppExchange and follow the prompts to install in either Production/Sandbox (Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, Unlimited Edition, Performance Edition).
Please enter login details of your salesforce administrator if you are presented with the login screen
Once you are presented with the installation screen, you are required to select which of your users should be granted access to the app including all its components note: install for all the user is recommended.
Once you make your selection, click the Install button.
Once the installation is complete, click the Done button to return to your Salesforce org. You may see a message stating that the installation is taking a long time to complete. In this case, you will receive an email once the installation finishes.
Now Opportunity Clone with Products, Quote Clone and Quote Clone with Line Items is Installed in your System.
You can verify the same in the installed packages. From Setup, Search Installed Package and Click “Installed Packages” to view
Configuration Steps
Enable My Domain – Pre-Requisite
My Domain is a Salesforce feature that lets you highlight your brand, makes your org more secure, and allows you to take advantage of some new features of Salesforce like Lightning Pages, the Lightning App builder and, what we are interested in most, Lightning Components.
The easiest way to see if you have My Domains enabled is to log into Salesforce and look at the address bar. If you see something like https://yourcompany.my.salesforce.com, then you are all set and can skip to the next step. However, if you see something like https://ap17.salesforce.com, you do not currently have My Domain enabled and need to take a few extra steps first.

Adding “Clone Opportunity with Products” Action to the Page Layout
Opportunity With Products action can copy records on Opportunity, but first, you have to put the “Clone Opportunity With Products” action on the Opportunity page layout(s).
To add “Clone Opportunity with Products” action in Lightning Experience
- Edit the page layout you want to add the “Clone Opportunity With Products” action.
- Check the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
- If it already shows a list of actions, then continue to step 4.
- If it contains a block of text with a link to override the predefined actions, convert it to a list of actions by clicking that link:

Do not drag the button with the name of Clone Opportunity With Products (DEPRECATED)
3. Select Mobile & Lightning Actions from the sidebar at the top of the screen and drag “Clone Opportunity with Products” action to the Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions Section and Click Save
Adding “Clone Quote with Products” and “Quote Clone” Actions to the Page Layout
Clone Quote With Products and Quote Clone actions can copy records on Quote, but first, you have to put the “Clone Opportunity With Products” and “Quote Clone” actions on the Quote page layout(s).
To add “Clone Opportunity with Products” and “Quote Clone” actions in Lightning Experience
1. Edit the page layout you want to add the “Clone Opportunity With Products” action.
2. Check the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
● If it already shows a list of actions, then continue to step 4.
● If it contains a block of text with a link to override the predefined actions, convert it to a list of actions by clicking that link:

3. Select Mobile & Lightning Actions from the sidebar at the top of the screen and drag “Clone Opportunity With Products” and “Quote Clone” actions on to the Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions Section and Click Save
Additional Customizations
You can also specify default “Prefix”& “Suffix” that would be appended to the name of Cloned Record. This will give more flexibility on how your cloned opportunity record will look like. This additional customization makes it easy to identify cloned records in list views and reports.
From Setup, Go to Custom Metadata Types. Click on Manage Records.
You need to set the values of Prefix or Suffix as per your requirement. Click on an edit of “cvcloneprefix” and set the value.
Click Save, and you’re done! Try it out by clicking on any Opportunity and then clicking “Clone Opportunity With Products” Action. The cloned Opportunity With Products looks like:
Once you click on the “Clone Opportunity With Products” Action click on the yes prompt to carry it out successfully.
Giving App License to the Users
At the time of installation, if the admin has selected “Install for Admin Only,” then the admin must assign a user license for using the app.
for assigning the license:
- Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of your screen to enter setup.
- Search ‘Installed Packages’ in the quick search box and select ‘Installed Packages’, then select ‘Manage License’.
3. Click ‘Add Users’ and select the user to whom you would like to assign a license.
Give Access of the Permission Set to the Users
If you have installed the app for all users, then the admin must assign a permission set for the users.
for assiging permission set:
1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
Select a user.
2. In the Permission Set Assignments related list, click Edit Assignments.
3. To assign a permission set, select ‘CVCloneOpptyQuoteLineitemPS‘ it under Available Permission Sets and click Add.
5. Click Save.

Try cloning opportunity with products by following these steps :
1. clicking on any opportunity and then clicking the “Clone Opportunity With Products” button.
2. Once you click on the “Clone Opportunity With Products” button, click on the yes prompt to carry it out successfully.
Now you see the clone opportunity with the suffix or prefix you have selected.
Clone Quote(User Guide)
Try cloning Quote by following these steps.
1. clicking on any quote and then clicking the “Clone Quote” button.
2. Once you click on the “Clone Quote” button, click on the yes prompt to carry it out successfully.
Now you see the clone quote with the different quote number but with no line items.

Try cloning Quote with Line Items by following these steps.
1. clicking on any quote and then clicking the “Clone Quote with Products” button.
2. Once you click on the “Clone Quote with Products” button, click on the yes prompt to carry it out successfully.
Now you see the clone quote with the different quote number and with quote line items.
